2021 Hindsight Chardonnay

2021 Hindsight Chardonnay
Walla Walla Valley
13.5% Alc. by Vol.

In our efforts to showcase this beautiful fruit in its purest form, this wine was whole cluster pressed and stirred often during the fermentation process, imparting a smoothness throughout the wine. The result is a wine that has a beautiful golden straw color and scents of crisp green apple. Flavors of pear transition into warm brioche and almond with a soft finish.

2016 THE WEEKDAY Red Wine

2016 THE WEEKDAY Red Wine
14.7% Alc. by Vol.

The Weekday Red Wine is a fun, easy-drinking Cabernet Sauvignon meant to enjoy anytime, but especially during the week. It’s a great way to break up your week without breaking the bank. Go ahead and enjoy—no special occasion needed. You deserve it!

This is a lighter Cabernet Sauvignon with aromas of warm blueberries, flavors of red plum and clove, and a warm soft vanilla finish. It was aged in 100% once-used French Oak barrels.

2021 THE REWIND Rosé

2021 THE REWIND Rosé
13.4% Alc. by Vol.

The 2021 THE REWIND Rosé is a new, yet old and familiar style of rosé for us. This version is a throwback to my original version of our customer cult favorite signature rosé called PORCH.

Lighter in style, this Syrah-based wine packs aromas of lychee fruit and warm strawberries with light citrus and floral flavors and finishes with a very slight sweetness balanced with just enough acid. This wine was fermented and aged in 100% Stainless Steel tanks.

2021 THE INCEPTION Sauvignon Blanc

2021 The INCEPTION Sauvignon Blanc
Columbia Valley
13.6% Alc. by Vol.

In 2004 as a curious wine hobbyist, I purchased 200 pounds of Sauvignon Blanc grapes and made 10 gallons of wine. I over-analyzed, toiled, tested, and tasted this wine in a never-ending quest to create something that I could proudly share with family and friends. I haven’t made it since, until now...

Sunflower-colored with aromas of sun-ripened pineapple, this wine has flavors of crisp green apple and stone fruit that lead to a soft finish with balanced acidity. Fermented and aged in 100% Stainless Steel tanks.

In the artist’s own words:

“I am mostly self-taught but early on benefitted from the mentoring of the late renowned Southwest artist Mel Casas, and from Peruvian artist, Francisco Grippa.

I get my inspiration from my surroundings, both natural and man-made, photographs, music and from images in my dreams.

This exhibit focuses on trees. Trees are such an endless source of inspiration for me. Trees speak to me in many ways. In them I see energy, love, sadness, and so much more. Their texture lends itself to detailed expression while their limbs can denote a range of moods and resurrect memories.

As is my practice, I also include new pieces outside of the show’s main theme as a means of hinting at where my mind wonders and where that wondering might lead me creatively. ”

2019 The Pendulum Merlot

2019 The Pendulum Merlot
Columbia Valley
14.8% Alc. by Vol.

The Pendulum represents taking risks and trying new things—a continued journey of experimentation with winemaking techniques and vineyard sources in Washington State.

This merlot was fermented in Nomblot Concrete tanks and aged in 100% French Oak barrels—50% new and 50% neutral.

The deep garnet red color glistens on your glass as you swirl, revealing aromas of black cherry. Flavors of dark fruits and minerality finish with soft, toasty warmth.

We’ll let Pam introduce herself:

“I’m Pam Hemmerling; an unexpected artist living with my family in Seattle. At the age of 50, I took my first art class crossing the threshold into an unforeseen creative journey. In hindsight, creative threads are interwoven throughout my life but it was the freedom of mixed media art that propelled me forward. My hope is that I could inspire others to be open to their creative process; to try, to practice, to learn. I believe that art is for everyone.”

Remember, if you come to the tasting room on West Seattle Art Walk Thursdays, you get to view Pam’s mix of expressive portraits and abstract artworks while also trying out the latest lineup of Viscon Cellars wines for no tasting fee!
